BSI Project was presented at a Special Session on 29.09.2009
called "ARMENIA IN EU FP7 ICT PROGRAMME" (BSI & SEE-GRID-SCI)
within Seventh International Conference on Computer Science and Information Technologies (CSIT-2009)
(28 September - 2 October, 2009, Yerevan, Armenia).
Republic of Armenia Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan attended that special meeting.
"Addressing those present, the Prime Minister noted that
the government of Armenia prioritizes the expansion of information technologies
which calls for serious action aimed at building an IT-friendly environment,
inclusive of infrastructure development. First of all, infrastructure
deficiencies affect the velocity at which information is conveyed, and we have
developed a number of investment programs to that effect. Access to the GEANT2
network and introduction of CSIRT system will open up exceptional opportunities
before Armenian scientists."
